Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will receive a traditional garland welcome and transfer to your hotel.

Your visit to Nepal concentrates on the Kathmandu Valley, which encapsulates the history of Nepal within the ancient capitals of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur.

Day 2: Kathmandu – Patan – Kathmandu

This morning you will meet with your local guide and visit Patan, the second-largest city in Nepal, Start with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Royal Palace, which dates from the 14th Century. The palace faces onto Durbar Square (Royal Square) and is surrounded by temples, houses, shrines, and alleys in the traditional Newari style.

Enjoy a hike to the World Peace Pagoda

Day 3: Kathmandu – Bhaktapur – Kathmandu

Along with your local guide, you will drive along a winding road to Bhaktapur, the third of the ancient royal capitals. The town of Bhaktapur is prohibited from traffic, making this a wonderful place to explore on foot.

At Durbar Square you will visit the Golden Gate and the Palace of 55 Windows as we weave our way through to the great square of Bhaktapur, Taumadhi Tole Taumadhi, and the Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest temple in the valley and dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Day 4: Kathmandu – Pokhara

Depart for Pokhara with your accompanying driver, (approximately 210km distance). Pokhara is Nepal’s third-biggest city and is located in the north-western area of the Pokhara Valley.

This afternoon, enjoy a cruise on Phewa Lake to tour the Barahi Temple before returning to shore and the hotel for the evening free at your leisure.

Day 5: Pokhara

Accompanied by your local guide, visit the Mountain Museum this morning, housing artifacts from various attempts to climb Mt. Everest, successful or otherwise. As well as documenting these attempts, the International Mountain Museum aims to highlight the unique flora and fauna as well as the cultural and historical value of the world’s tallest mountain.

Afterward, enjoy a hike (approximately 3-4 hours) to the World Peace Pagoda where you can enjoy the view of the mountain peaks of Machhapuhhare or ‘Fishtail Mountain’.

Day 6: Pokhara – Chitwan National Park

Depart Pokhara with your accompanying driver and head to Chitwan National Park and commence your jungle safari. The park has long been regarded as the third biggest attraction in Nepal and one of the last refuges to the One Horned rhinos.

After a briefing from a local naturalist guide, you will begin the lodge’s comprehensive program of activities including elephant bathing and safaris, jungle walks, and bird watching.

Day 7: Chitwan National Park

Spend the day exploring the national park by jungle safari with a local naturalist guide.

Day 8: Chitwan National Park – Daman

Depart Chitwan National Park today along with your accompanying driver, and head for Daman.

The 2322m-high ridge of Daman affords the most spectacular view in all Nepal of the Himalayan Mountain. In clear weather, your hotel gives you a wonderful view from Beyond Everest to the eastern side, to the snowy heights of Dhaulagiri in the west. Some claim views of the Himalayan Mountains from Daman are the best there is to be had in all of Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Tibet.

There is no guide included while in Daman. The staff at the Everest Panorama Resort will be able to inform you of excursions you can join (charges payable directly at the resort) or feel free to explore the area. Later explore a local Tibetan monastery.

Day 9: Daman – Kathmandu

Depart Daman with your accompanying driver and drive (approximately 2 hours) back to Kathmandu, passing some of the most heavily cultivated regions of Nepal in the Palung Valley. Upon arrival to Kathmandu, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Kathmandu (Departure)

After check-out this morning you will be met by your accompanying driver and transferred to Kathmandu airport where your arrangements end.
