Detailed itinerary

0530 Hrs:

Early morning pickup from your booked hotel and transfer to Delhi airport for your flight to Amritsar.

Departure: Delhi at 0810 Hrs by Air India 461

Arrival : Amritsar at 0915 Hrs

0930 Hrs:

Landed at Amritsar, you will be met by your private car with driver and guide and we start tour of Amritsar – Holy city of Sikhs.

1015 Hrs:

We will explore Golden Temple is very spiritual place of Sikhs it is also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib temple. Amritsar city was founded in 1574by the fourth sikh guru, Guru Ram Das, in 1577 Guru ram das initiated the digging work the Amrit sarover (Pond). Guru Harminder dev laid the foundation of Harmindar Sahib, In 1589 at the hand of the Muslim Saint Sai Mian Mir. In 1664, Guru Arjan dev placed a copy of Guru Granth Sahib in Harmindar Sahib, In Golden Temple has four doors in four different directions, which symbolize that any person, belonging to any cast creed or religion is welcome here all the times. The sarover attracts devotees from around the world, who came here especially to take dip in the holy pond.

1200 Hrs:

Later we visit Jallianwala Bagh, It is witness to one of the cruellest massacres of the time before independence, Jaliwalan bagh is historic public park, spread over seven acres, the park is symbol of brutally of British General dyer under the British rule over India, on the April 13, 1919, on the occasion of Baisakhi, thousands of people have assembled in the park to peaceful protest to new British act “ The Rowlatt Act” . there were many family with children came there to celebrate festival of Baiskhai in the park . Gernal Dyer’s order his troops fired on the crowed without check, targeting those who were trying to flee, approximately 1600 bullets fired in 15 minutes and more than 1000 people were killed and approximately 1450 were injured. One of Jaliwalan park wall shown sign of 28 bullets mark as the fateful day.
